Dr. Meagan Showalter, DDS, is originally from Louisiana but moved frequently with her family before settling in Phoenix, AZ. After graduating high school, Dr. Showalter enlisted in the United States Navy. Upon completing her service, she sought a new direction and chose to further her education in dentistry.
Dr. Showalter earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2018 from the University of Oklahoma and later received her DDS from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City. Dentistry appealed to her because it allowed her to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, provide essential care, and utilize her artistic skills through hands-on work. Throughout her journey, she has recognized the significant impact oral health has on individuals' lives and finds immense satisfaction in enhancing her patients' overall well-being and confidence.
As a general dentist, Dr. Showalter offers a wide range of dental care, with a particular interest in fixed prosthodontics and esthetic restorations. She prioritizes building trust and ensuring her patients feel comfortable in her care. By taking the time to understand her patients' goals and concerns, she strives to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Showalter enjoys spending time with her husband, Brad, whom she met in the Navy, their daughter Myrissa, and their dogs, Pearl and Patches. Her hobbies include reading, game nights with family and friends, painting and crafting, bowling, golfing, and camping.
